Indians are masters in creating unnecessary ourage. Look what a big deal the Indian media made of students being attacked in Australia. Indians declared Australia as a racist country and they branded Britain also as racist when Shilpa Shetty episode took place. Now also they are making a non-issue as a big deal. It seems that Indians thinking is buillt around that all the world is racist and biased toward India. But, when it comes to showing ourage to genuine issues they are always silent. So many horrible things happen to millions of Indians everyday but no body cares about them. Also, when chinese think tank published a report last week about breaking India in many states, there was no outrage. As compared to this news SRK news is nothing. I have filled I-140 in last week of March 2008. My priority date(the day I file labor) is 15-Sep-2007. My labor got approved.
My I-140 is under EB2 India.
Today I checked status of my I-140 on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do
It says :

Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
On July 25, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. My opinion is you should allign your thinking with a party which has the least divisive idealogy. Mulayam/Mayawati/Laloo type parties were born for simple reason, 'Caste politics'. Congress has only one agnda 'Communal/Secular', they call themselves secular but they have played the divisive card like none other in India..Congress have ruled in India for longest period than any other party, In UP Congress was the default govt. until late 1980, but the condition of the minorities in those regions will tell you how much they were misused & misguided.
And now , since they took over in 2005 they've been talking about reservations, they alligns with Muslim League in south, they support terrorists like 'Taslamuddin', and ofcourse everybody is aware about their role in Amarnath Land Transfer issue. On the other hand there's a party who worked almost for everybody for 5 years. In those 5 years we saw how India started showing up in US media as emerging business leader, that started happening in 2001-2002...You need to give them their due credit. Now you see the western media, they are all lashing out at Indian govt. with 'Weak govt.' charges...It is upto you to decide what kind of politics you want from your politicians. People argue 'But BJP didn't build the temple when they were in power' and my answer is did you want them to do that ? isn't it good that they did not raise controversial issue and just worked on development. Babri Masjid, Gujarat riots etc. are raised again and again by parties who don't have any agenda, but only one agenda and that is to divide and get get votes....

What use is this thread? How does it serve the purpose of IV. I see emotions flaring up time and again with every "incident" that media sensationalizes. Its high time administrators here took control of our messaging otherwise anti-immigrants are soon going to pounce on this. I sense an under-current of hatred in some posts as well. I am going to stop coming here if this mindless stuff does not get stopped from being posted. Personally I don't even think that forum should be on the home page.

LTTE is almost obliterated. Hope, from now on people will not be crude to mask the SL Tamil issue relating with the LTTE.
Whether LTTE is a freedom movement or a terrorist organization, they were the saviors of the SL Tamils, now SL govt has got the free hand to annihilate entire Tamils from Sri Lanka. I don't think even god can save SL Tamils from tyranny and potential modern day holocaust.
How long can any organization survive without the support or backing from any major country? and for the LTTE, it is even worse as there is no land border to escape and fighting an enemy with the ratio of more than 1:20 and who got unlimited supply of arms. Of course LTTE dig their own grave with their attitude, actions and misunderstanding of geo political reality.
I hope and wish that some sanity prevails among the Sinhalese public.

Can you stop bickering about YSR, the mans gone !!. He has done a lot for backward castes and minorities
(from what i hear, gave reservations), I must say however that he had very bad reputation for being a Goonda during his college days, and a very notorious politician for proselytism. I have been to interior Andhra recently, it felt like I am in Rome, there is a church almost every 10 kms !!, people don't practice Christianity that vigorously over here in the US ! (no offence intended against Christianity). Hopefully folks who covert have a better life, the caste system did treat them very badly.

Just fill out the forms and submit them. It is very easy. It took 6 months for me to get the PR in the Socialist Canada. Then it took 1 month for me I should get out of there quickly. Very low pace, not many high level employment, high taxes. I visited a friend there last weekend. In Vancouver, it rains like hell and it is depressing to me. I said, darn, why am I living here? If I am not going to have significant career advancement, I should go back home than staying here enjoying this rain. In Toronto it is cold like hell. Go there and spend a couple of weeks and see if you like it. People are usually friendly there. In the end, it depends on how bad is back home when compared to Canada. Good luck.

Thanks Gopi for such a sane post, I second what you said below , a person has to be ready mentally to be approached for any business and if they are not ready then the same conversation which they might find helpful at the time when he is mentally ready would look like as a harassment when they are not mentally ready.
and that is what BWW is not doing, beside all what you said i also believe they lie to you a lot as it happened with me on several occasions, they would lie about the credentials aof theirs and theirs upline because they think people are more open to hear from persons who are more successful and thats why they lie about education and job etc..
One of the Diamonds came to my house last year and he projected that he is going to be my best friend even though i said Yes or NO.
He came to my house several times,he would call me everyday and ask me about life in general and all the while behaved as one of my best friend/brother and he disappeared with no phone call at all as soon as i said NO to my upline.
And i believe these all practices of theirs is whats turning people off.

Most of the Bollywood movies are junk ( vulgar dances etc.) . As more and more people mature in the north, the market for stars like SRK will dwindle. I request everybody to follow classic Bengali/Mallu movies.

Though we do see quality movies these days. the reason for junk is because the sheer number. They are high and thats why quality movies seem to look like they are few. Bollywood banks a lot on presentation of the movie and thats whjy they need to follow the "formula" which may look funny and absurd.
A lot of American movies are also crap, only few are worth watching.
Just like how everyone wants to code in Java, a lot of people want to get into the film industry and not everyone or everything is like what you want them to be.
What I say is "Lets stop junking things" Lets look at ourselves and see what we have achieved what the starts have not achieved

There is possibility that retrogression begins in August. The USCIS maail department will acept only those cases the clerk could manually enter into the system by July 31st and then send all those applications back which he could not enter manually
