SMS is now not only by human beings. In Switzerland, research is being done so that a cow can send a short message to the owner. Messages sent will be informed that the cow is ready for milking. So the farmers no longer need to guess when the time is right for milking.

It is being tested by Christian Oesch, cattle rancher at 44 Red Holstein and Jersey. He tried to insert the sensor into a number of dairy cows to determine its condition.

The way the device works is quite simple and is claimed to be very accurate. The sensor will detect the level of warmth cow, because usually milked cows that are ready to have a high body temperature.

"The result is a combination of the algorithm, if the cows in hot conditions then automatically sends SMS to farmers. Level accuracy up to 90%," claims Claude Brielmann, a computer specialist who designed the system.

The sensor is also equipped with a SIM card slot, and can automatically send messages in the three major languages ??in Switzerland, namely Germany, France and Italy.
