Apple sued by Sabine Liewald, a Photographer from Switzerland

A photographer from Switzerland filed a lawsuit against Apple in U.S. District Court in New York. The reason Apple is accused of taking the work of the photographer Sabine-Liewald-without permission to promote products MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

"Although it does not intend to use the photos and did not have a license it, Apple copy, publish, and use photos" close up eyes "belong to the plaintiff, including in advertising campaigns MacBook Pro, keynote addresses, and related advertising material without permission or compensation," wrote the demand filed on Wednesday (10/10/2012), as quoted from the Register.

Switzerland and the United States are both members of the Berne Convention.

In his complaint, Liewald demanding "part of the profits" related to the use of Apple's photograph, the following damages, attorney fees, and "any profits and benefits derived from the violation of the defendant."
