A giant crocodile in the Philippines with a length of 6 meters set as the largest reptile in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records. Crocodile weighing 1 ton is known to have killed two local people, before being arrested.
Male crocodile named 'Lolong' This was captured in the Agusan marsh, Mindanao Island, in September last year. According to residents, the saltwater crocodile is known to have killed a girl and a local fisherman.
"The biggest crocodile ever caught, named Lolong , a saltwater crocodile which has a length of 6.17 meters was recorded," a statement from the Guinness Book of World Records said on its website, as reported by AFP on Monday (02/07/2012).
"Weight wailed have weighed on truck scales and a set at 1075 kg," added the statement.
Bunawan Authority admitted it had received an official certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records world record related to this. Currently, wailed in the care of the local authority at a crocodile.
"Wailed great. I think he's able to adapt to this new environment," said media coordinator of the local authorities, Welinda Asis Elorde told AFP.

"I was there (where wailed bred) yesterday and he seems to be a tourist attraction in itself. Hundreds of people came to visit in a day," said Elorde.
The world record for the largest category of reptiles previously held by a crocodile named Cassius from Australia. Cassius recorded 5.48 meters in length and weighing nearly 1 tonne. Since captured in the Northern Territory in 1984, Cassius treated at a crocodile in Queensland.
