The prototype smart phones can deliver messages that contain a wide range of feelings such as frustration, resentment and even love. Physical messages called pressages that can be communicated between two mobile users to form various kinds of vibrations. The strength of the vibrations depends on how the hand squeezing the phone.

ForcePhone not contain audio-tactile messages. Instead, users can do it themselves. For example when you want to give your loved one a hug at the end of long distance calls. It seems, for even then there pressage.
Group of Finnish researchers led by Eve Hoggan, presenting papers and prototype new ForcePhone in Cambridge. In the symposium User Interface Software and Technology's Technology Review contributor, Nidhi Subbaraman got a chance to try to direct this new prototype. Only one prototype ForcePhone are working at the symposium. When the phone is squeezed, the phone vibrates on hand such as when there is an incoming call.

The researchers say the findings show the phone system has value as a communication channel like in the real world. There are settings in pressages to express greetings, presence and emotional frustration.
